The Oxford County Federation of Agriculture recognizes excellence in the farming community through our awards of excellence. We once again selected an Oxford County Agricultural Hall of Fame Award recipient, as well as a Family Farm Award recipient for 2025. Awards were presented by The County of Oxford at the OCFA Annual General Meeting on January 22, 2026.

Bursaries
Oxford County Federation of Agriculture awards up to 6 x $500 bursaries to the selected Oxford County Students
Criteria:
Is involved in the farming/agribusiness through either a family operation, volunteer work or employment
Demonstrates a strong work ethic
Is pursuing post-secondary studies in a field or apprenticeship with a career path in the agricultural industry
A graduating student who is a resident of Oxford County
The application is now closed for the 2026 bursaries. Applications will re-open in January 2027.

The Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) is offering eleven bursaries in 2026.
Three scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each to students in an undergraduate program.
One scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to a person completing an apprenticeship.
One scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to a person completing a postgraduate or career advancement program.
One scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to a student completing a veterinary program.
Peter Hannam Leadership Award offers one scholarship in the amount of $2,000 to a person completing a leadership development program.
NEW… Hydro One is offering a $2,000 scholarship to a student enrolled in post-secondary education in agricultural engineering, electrical engineering, bioresource engineering, energy management, renewable energy, or environmental sciences with a focus on sustainable energy production related to agriculture and land use.
Bursary recipients will be selected from applicants who are OFA members, a child of, or employee of an OFA member and are residents of Ontario. Applicants should be able to demonstrate industry related accomplishments, an interest in agriculture and rural issues, and community involvement.
