OXFORD COUNTY FEDERATION OF AGRICULTURE

We are a local, general farm organization affiliated with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) and are dedicated to uniting the farming community through grassroots leadership and co-operation to address rural concerns.

The County of Oxford is asking for Oxford County residents to provide comment on a survey to manage curbside waste collection.

They are seeking the public feedback on potential changes to the residential curbside waste collection program, such as:

  • changes to how often garbage is collect;

  • curbside pick-up on statutory holidays;

  • waste collection in urban versus rural ares;

  • the start of a ‘green bin’ program to collect residential source separated organics (e.g. food scraps)

The ‘Future of curbside collection survey’ is online until April 30. It takes about 10 minutes to complete.

There is an information session on Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m.

All the details about the survey and how to register to attend the April 24 meeting can be found here.
